New Pathways Therapy

About New Pathways Therapy

Rachael Frankford is a clinical social worker and the founder/owner of New Pathways Therapy Centre. She has over 20 years clinical experience working with clients suffering from mental health challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, and burnout. Rachael brings an integrative, neuroscience informed approach to therapy, combining traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and neurofeedback training. Her work is informed by a 25+ year background in Buddhist meditation and psychology as well as formal training in mindfulness based therapies such as MBCT and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. She works from a community oriented, anti-oppressive, and inclusive approach to therapy. To that end she has developed a mindfulness training program (MTER) that teaches basic mindfulness skills for mental health that has been taught to remote and marginalized mental health settings. She works with clients who struggle with particular sensitivities to their nervous system such as head injury, ADHD, migraines, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders and complex developmental attachment trauma.
