Job Posting for Associate Psychotherapist Position
At New Pathways Therapy Centre our mission is to offer integrative and somatic therapies for the recovery of trauma and other mental health problems that are rooted in dysregulation of the nervous system.
Our clients receive evidence based, neuroscience informed and innovative therapies that support healing of body, mind, brain and spirit.
What We Offer:
We have experience with relational and somatic therapies such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, neurofeedback, EMDR, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Safe and Sound Protocol. Our integrative approach combines these different modalities to support people as they heal from trauma at different stages of recovery.
New Pathways is a boutique practice that has been built on a foundation of clinical experience and trusting relationships with clients, academic settings, and community agencies over the years. Our goal is to expand this small community of dedicated therapists who share similar values and are committed to learning and growth.
What we are looking for:
New Pathways is seeking an experienced Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist with a passion for helping people heal from trauma to live full and rewarding lives. We are looking for people whose work is informed by somatic approaches, mindfulness, polyvagal theory and biofeedback.
The ideal clinician will have the following qualifications:
- a minimum of 3 years post graduate clinical experience
- Fully licensed and insured in your profession for psychotherapy
- Willing to work online and in person when restrictions are lifted
- Available for work during evenings and weekends
- Training in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy or other recognized somatic therapies
- Experience working with attachment trauma, ADHD, somatic and chronic health issues
- A regular mindfulness meditation or healing practice that supports and informs their clinical work
Why should you join?
Our goal at New Pathways is to create a small and supportive community of healers who are committed to trauma recovery through innovative therapies and a dedication to their own healing practices. While this is an independent contractor position, there is an opportunity for mentorship and clinical support for those who are committed to developing their skills in somatic and integrative therapies.
This position is ideal for someone who values working collaboratively and feeling the isolation of working online with little clinical support.
Competitive pay depending on training and years of experience.
