Kyle Forman, MSW Intern

MSW Intern, University of Toronto

Kyle Forman is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Toronto, specializing in mental health and health. He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and neuroscience from the University of Guelph. He spent the majority of his undergraduate degree as a tutor and researcher in the Cognitive-Affective Neuroscience Lab, studying the cognitive and neural mechanisms of attention and emotion in the visual and auditory domains. Simultaneously, he worked as a peer counselor for Student Wellness at the University of Guelph, supporting university students struggling with academic stress and recent crises. After graduating, he worked in private practice aiding the assessment of individuals following motor vehicle accidents. It was during this time that he developed an interest in supporting individuals struggling with traumatic brain injuries. He uses a trauma-informed, psychoeducational, and strengths-based approach to help people cope with and eventually thrive through chronic health issues such as depression, anxiety, and post-concussion syndrome.
