As a clinician, I am passionate about working with diverse adult and young adult populations. I am familiar with the impact that technology is having on our ability to live in a way that reflects our core values and desires. I have a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with highly sensitive people that stems from personal experience. I am also passionate about supporting parents of children with diverse special needs.
My approach is informed by the Internal Family Systems model developed by Richard Schwartz. This approach invites us to become better acquainted with and to honour all the diverse parts inside of us that allowed us to get to where we are in this moment. By slowing down and better regulating our unique nervous systems, we can gently learn to listen more deeply to these parts and to our body’s wisdom.
At present I am exploring more deeply the way body acceptance and somatic awareness can support our efforts, especially as we age, to embrace mindful and healthy eating patterns that are more plant-based and nutrient-rich.
Curiosity and compassion guide my interactions with myself and others. Mindfulness practices promote my inner calm and creativity to help me to meet the demands of life in an urban setting and to face the losses and transitions brought about by the reality of this pandemic.
I look forward to accompanying you on your journey towards reconnecting with your inner wisdom with greater clarity and confidence.
