Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist
Welcome!
I am a registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in the mental health and addictions field. My clinical practice is humanistic and client-centred and supports healing, hope and compassion. I work from an integrative approach that is grounded in Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I work with individuals who are looking for support with trauma, anxiety and depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, as well as grief and loss. I also have extensive experience working with individuals who are looking to make changes to alcohol or substance use, or have already made changes and are looking for support to maintain those changes.
By using trauma-informed relational and body-centred approaches, we can work together to create an environment of healing, hope and compassion.
“My clinical practice is humanistic and client-centred and supports healing, hope and compassion.”
My Background
I graduated with a Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto and am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I am also a graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and have extensive training in Mindfulness Based-Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Along with providing individual therapy, I am also passionate about facilitating educational as well as process-oriented groups. I have facilitated groups such as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for anxiety and/or depression, Seeking Safety for women who have experienced trauma as well as addiction, mental health and addiction groups for 2SLGBTQ communities, and groups for medical residents to process the emotional impact of patient care.
Harness the mind-body connection to create new pathways in your life.
At New Pathways Therapy Center, we believe therapy is a collaborative process. We don’t just sit back and listen. We look forward to supporting you on your journey towards healing, balance and growth.
