Mindfulness Therapy
Mindfulness is the conscious awareness of our present moment experience.
What is Mindfulness-Based Therapy?
Mindfulness is conscious awareness of present moment experience. Research shows that mindfulness practice has a positive impact on mental well-being. The skill of present moment awareness is incorporated into many different therapeutic approaches such as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. At New Pathways our therapists are trained in different mindfulness-based interventions and integrate this approach in individual sessions.
Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience
Most people find that the best way to learn mindfulness skills for mental health is with the support of a group. We are proud to offer the Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience (MTER) Program, a trauma-informed, 4-week program that teaches psychoeducation on emotion regulation and mindfulness skills for everyday life.
Who is MTER for?
Mindfulness Training for Emotional Resilience is intended for people who are looking to start or bolster a mindfulness practice to help them regulate difficult emotions. People who are struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and stress will benefit from the program. This is not a therapy group so there is no expectation to share anything about yourself beyond how you are engaging with a mindfulness practice using the resources provided
